  • The place is really just ruins. The best part is that no one has to get out of the car. You can drive by the stuff and see it all. We did send someone out to read the plaques, but since it was so hot ...  read more »
  • A good quick trip. Took 1/2 hour to look around the site of the old sugar mill. Very pretty park area. Good for a picnic. Also has a nature trail. Lovely trees and vegetation.
  • We have done this 2 times and enjoy the tour. Interesting plants and historical artifacts. Easy drive from New Smyrna Beach.
  • Its very cozy n quaint shady campsites lil tiki bar nice size pool has a good size pavilion for breakfasts n other holiday feasts ect.. A playground for the kids even a dog park for the pooch to get out for a bit even a game room for the kids..its a nice place to come
  • We have been here for a month now and love every minute of it. It is Clean, Friendly, Quite and haven't met a bad neighbor yet The prices are reasonable for such a good park. I recommend this place to everyone but the place is full, so keep checking back with them.
  • Best campground on the coast kids love it just minutes to the beach
  • My family and I have went to Sugar Mill every Memorial Day weekend faithfully for over 40 years. We started at lot 99 and 100, those were the Potts lots and everyone knew it. It started off with just my grandma and her boys, then her boys had families, their kids had families and we have went camping here every single year. I was born in March of '86 and when May rolled around, my Nannie made sure I was coming to the campground. When they put in the cabins, we started getting the cabins and Shady Cove lot rather that 99 and 100. My family and I were very close with Bart who treated us like his own family. When Patti took things over, things were different. This year our family tradition has come to an end. We called in JANUARY to book our cabins for MAY only to be told Patti had them reserved for another family. She knows that we get these cabins every single year, always the same weekend. It's very disappointing to know the cabins were "reserved" for someone else even though she knows we always get them. My Nannie won't be around forever and it's upsetting to tell her we aren't able to come to Sugar Mill after coming for so long. I'm more upset that Patti doesn't even have the decency to just get on the phone and give us some type of explanation or possibly even offer us our old lots. Instead, messages are relayed through Janet at the front desk. After coming here for well over 40 years, what's a phone call to explain?
  • Area around the park is dumpy. The park itself from the front end looks tired and the pool old and dirty. RV sites are spaced extremely close together. Good thing there is a lot of shade trees as it would be impossible to deploy any awnings. The older "woman" at the front desk is extremely rude and abrupt. Park down the road is a bit better and the staff are light years friendlier and professional.
