Beautiful beach within walking distance from ferry. Lots of local business with great food close by.
Great beach nice body surfing waves, warm sands. Especially Nina e during the shoulder season as the clouds are gone and the waters warm Pavillion was closed but that was not a big deal.
Rented some chairs and beach towels from our hotel and went and chilled on the beach with the kids. We could walk to the snack bar. Very fun!!
Very nice clean water, pleasant live music, showers are a major problem since they inconvenience tourists with getting tokens and that will prevent us from returning. It should be a free shower. The sand is a dark dirty looking mix of fine beige mixed in. Nice cool breezes. Food is ok and available. Has umbrellas and the water is salted in a healthy way. The shower situation makes or breaks a deal for me. There are no stores to purchase sun block or other supplies at this beach. No cars avail and the cab drivers are avail. They accommodate to the majority so if you want to go someplace else they say theyll drop you off in town and to walk..?? I found this very odd since i could have walked with my written directions from the place i was at.

Lovely, uncrowded beach the days we were there midweek. The water is crystal clear & the sand is soft. There are chairs & umbrellas available for rental. Paid showers are also available. It cost $2/token which gives you 4 minutes to rinse off. The confession stand serves for prepared by Rebecca's & our food was delicious & freshly made. I had a cheeseburger with lettuce tomato and pickles. It was a delightful surprise.
I wish they didn't close the bath house so early - at 5:45 - but otherwise I really love this place, and have since I was a little boy. A small concession stand serves up hot dogs and fries and some ice cream, and there are changing rooms, toilets, and token-operated showers. The beach is a long swoop of soft white sand, mild surf, and no undertoad. Perfect for the kids.
Easy access beach with a nice shallow sand bar
Gorgeous beach with great swimming. The best part, on leash dogs are allowed! Labor day was not crowded, easy to find a spot to yourself. Well worth the ferry trip!
