The park is nice, I prefered if they had kept the wooden playground, perhaps rebuilt it. However I do have a major issue, I am on my monthly and was no where near my house when I came in need of a bathroom. I underatand that bathrooms at parks are closed during a certain time, however when there was a cleaning gentlemen there I was denied access because he would get into trouble. If I had known I would have just gone straight back to my car, which is on the other side of the park, to find a usable location. Shame on you Pasco.
A great place to take a walk or to walk your dog, a family oriented park all around, nonetheless a friendly place. There is sometimes some free events like concerts that happen every once and awhile but their's a lot of people who also play the Pokémon-Go app at Sims Park and unless you don't mind that then honestly everything is peachy!
My kids love this park and so do I! Great play area that is padded and a water play area for them to get wet in the spray. Beautiful walking trails lead up and around the lake on one side and the river on the other. There is a field on one side of the park too for those that play football and other sports. Great park to take your furry friends to. They even have water fountains for the pups.
The new playground is very well built and large. The inclusion of a splash fountain was a great idea for the summer, and there are stationary bicycles for excercise nearby. It gets rather crowded and some parents tend to not watch there kids very closely, but its not park's fault. Bathrooms could be a little more accessible, but overall its a great park and a pleasant surprise for downtown New Port Richey.
Old style "Hollywood" meets new style downtown with that small town feel. Great place to live and bring the family. Chasco Fiesta and big time concerts...what more do you need. Come see it to believe it!
