  • This is a small park with a board walk, kids play area and a small beach area. It is a nice place to spend a couple of hour or if you are into fishing, kayaking and want to cook out you could spend th...  more »
  • I read this was a great park. I didn't think so at all. The smell was terrible and the beach didn't have and sand to speak of. We left and went to a private beach.  more »
  • Been here many times for sunsets or to kayak. Bathrooms and parking, $2. Beach is not very good though as water is to shallow and tides wash up lots of debris  more »

  • If you're looking for a beach, this is not the place to go. The water was labeled as having "high bacteria levels" so you cannot swim in it. There isn't much sand. There's some but with a lot of dirt. The park might be fine for kids but I didn't see that area. Also the parking is $2 per vehicle.
  • I LOVE MANGROVE TREES! AND THIS PLACE GOT SOME NICE ONES! Also, you can find diamondback rattlesnakes in the woods near the beach. The water doesn't get deep for a good while at Green Key, but during high tide it's more than adequate to Wade out into it and you can do some swimming as there really are no waves if you get out far enough it's basically a hidden and Little gem for those of us locals here in New Port Richey Florida it's not a tourist attraction a lot of these little beaches are basically for the locals
  • Someone busted the Windows out of my car on Mothers day and stole everything. DO NOT GO HERE. If the parking lot is full DO NOT PARK BY THE MANGROVES.They have signs posted telling you to lock up your car they don't have signs telling you that your property will be damaged. The park has no security and the one camera that they do have does not work.
  • I scored Robert K. Rees with Four Stars because my expectations were not high, and because it exceeded them; in addition, I appreciated the relatively short drive. It is a cozy little beach on the Gulf of Mexico in New Port Richey. I appreciated the Pavilions as I did not have to drag my tent to the beach even though it would have been a very short walk from the parking lot. Even though there were a few families there it did not feel crowded. A few of the best features are the Playground equipment for little ones and how shallow the water was for them to be able to walk around catching fish and crabs; there are also bathrooms and outdoor showers. Parking is fairly limited and there is a tiny cost of $2.00 per car; the machine will accept cash and credit cards. If you are in Lutz, Wesley Chapel, and Land O' Lakes, consider going there instead of the next county as it is only about a 35-40 minute-drive. My friends who drove from Zephyrhills did not mind the drive. You will likely encounter wildlife (raccoons). There is a Big "Do Not Molest or Feed The Animals" sign; that cause may be lost already because they did not seem to be scared of people when they came to look for their lunch in the covered trash can nearby. I would make one suggestion which is that they move the trash can a little farther away from the Pavilion because I did not stop looking over my shoulder for the raccoons. Enjoy :-) GBA
  • It was quiet and peaceful. Crowded but not overcrowded
