  • Not a fan of this very large institution looking inn. Rooms are small and tired for over $700/ night. Dinner is included but it’s a very mediocre buffet in an institutional feel dining room. Expected ...  more »
  • My experience is limited to one day visit with breakfast, I didn't stay there. The hotel is charming, beautiful, surrounded in a fabulous nature in the mountains. The breakfast buffet is incredibly rich, there is everything sweet, savory and fruit of all kinds. The wait staff was very friendly. The hotel has lounges, all with fireplace, furnished with period furniture. Actually want to stay there for a few days. We also visited the greenhouse, which contains many plants. Giovanni

  • We were in town for the weekend & came here for a special talk with Paul Huth. It was very informative. After the talk we went to the Mononk House to walk around & enjoy the view, hung out by one of t...  more »

  • I went for a spa day. I look forward to my next time! It was glorious. Staff was exceptional. Every little thing you could have wanted was there. The solarium, & veranda were fabulous! Outdoor mineral pool is a must! Complete relaxation, which was my intention. Not enough time for the steam room or sauna, will do it next time.
  • This is going to be a tough review to write because my opinions are mixed... The good: The property is amazing, secluded and charming. We literally booked based off the photographs, and it was exactly as we would've expected. The staff was very polite and helpful. We visited in early April and though the weather didn't agree, there were numerous outdoor activities to enjoy. The bad: During our visit, the kitchen was undergoing a renovation. So our buffet style breakfast, lunch and dinners were served in smaller cramped conference rooms and the buffet was setup where the bar(which was missed)would normally be. The meal hours were also very limited. Miss the window, miss the meal. I am assuming that the menus and hours were limited due to the renovation. The food was good, but there were very few options. Breakfast was very sub-par, lunch and dinner were ok. Compared to similarly priced resorts I've been to, the food options were abysmal. Actually compared to some local $9.99 buffets, the food options were lacking. Hopefully this is all due to the kitchen renovation. We did receive an email about the renovations after we booked, so we were warned. Overall: If this resort cost 1/3 of what we paid, this would be a much more positive review. But at this price, my expectations were much higher. I chose to book this resort over other options despite the price, but also expecting a higher level of service. I just can't say that the resort justified the price. Would I go back? Unless they lowered the price, I'd be inclined to try another resort.
  • Everything about Mohonk Mountain House is wonderful! We have visited on several occasions and we are never disappointed. The rooms and grounds are beautiful, the food is delicious and everyone is friendly and go out of their way to help you. A special "thank you"to Diane Ippolito in Guest Relations who went above and beyond to make our stay special. Mohonk is a historic gem and a very special place. We will be back for sure!
  • It doesn’t get any better than this! A wonderful family resort. Rooms with fireplaces and a view of the mountains or the glacial lake. Great for a romantic getaway. So much to do from hiking to horseback riding to golf to canoeing. The food is excellent and service is first class...and there’s so much more! $$$$ Go if you can !!!!
  • Very pleasant place to be. Views are extraordinary, the mountain house itself is very old and well maintained. Wonderful staff, very friendly and helpful. There is no shortage of things to do, both for the outdoor enthusiast and for those who prefer to stay inside and appreciate the architecture, dance in the evening or take in a lecture.
