  • We were in New Orleans for a medical symposium involving my wife, in December. As one who always travels with a hat, and one who seems to be traveling nearly every week, I realized that my main “trave...  more »
  • Also not seen in Japan, bass hats and various hats lined with Windows. Royal Street and stopped at Starbucks on Canal Street and then a nice atmosphere so I went. I'm sure you will find your favorite hat. Big head so good ^-^

  • I went in with my friend who was after a Stetson for her son. As it had been very sunny I tried on a hat, then heard a voice.... 'no my dear that hat is not for you'. I don't wear hats as I think they...  more »

  • Visited while on a trip to NOLA a few years ago. Found a great soft Panama and an incredible beaver fur Top with a fur finish. My wife found one also. Both hats get great comments whenever I wear one of them. (I have quite a few hats and always wear a hat) Service is great. If you do not know what you want, they will help you find it.
  • THE place for top service when choosing a hat. Men and women's styles available. Large selection and knowledgeable, considerate staff. I found just what I was looking for at a reasonable price.
  • Bought my first hat here in 1992. Bought several more since. Great store, great memories.
  • This place is a local landmark, their hats are of great quality, they have a massive selection to choose from, and their service is quick and cordial. My husband has bought several hats from there over the years and they are durable and long lasting. If you're in need of a hat, you can't go wrong by heading over to Meyer's.
  • The only store to purchase hats and accessories. I have been a customer for years because of the great service, knowledge and friendliness of the staff. When you go to Meyer's, it's like visiting family!

Where to stay in New Orleans

Though you can walk to most tourist attractions in New Orleans from a hotel in the central business district, remember that many other parts of town feature less expensive and equally comfortable accommodations. Smaller hotels and private guesthouses in quiet residential neighborhoods offer not only good local food and spacious rooms, but can also allow you to explore the city's culture away from overwhelming tourist crowds. To reduce your carbon footprint during your stay, consider one of French Quarter's many green or eco-friendly hotels.
