  • They are definitely some yummy creamy pralines. We watched them make them as usual, and then sampled a lot LOL. Pricey though, but good!  more »
  • Store had lots of good choices for souvenirs and such. Great location. However, when I went to pay for something less than $5 with a $20, the lady got very snipy with me. As if I were lying about not ...  more »
  • Oh my, the best Praline candy I've tasted in New Orleans. This is a cute candy and gift shop. You can even watch the Praline's be made  more »

  • The website said open until 11 pm. I got there at 10 pm and was rudely told they were closed. She said what did you want? To buy something? I told her NO not now. Either put up a closed sign or change the times on the website. Maybe some manners classes for the young lady working there.
  • The smell of fresh pralines draws you in! They have a great sample station that allows you to make a decision (or NOT!) of what to buy. Their pecan brittle is heavenly and great for those who want something other than pralines. The staff are friendly and informative. Highly recommend picking up a box to take home!
  • Went two days in a row and the place was closed way before time each time...not cool when you live 6 hours away and prefer not to pay $12 for shipping and handling. The last time...yesterday...I knocked on the door as I was watching a guy count money and he completely ignored me. A young lady came because I continued to knock and said she couldn't sale me anything and sent me up the street to another closed shop...this shop actually states they close at 7 so she was just trying to get rid of me obviously. I was disappointed because I really liked them last time I was there in February.
  • Oh Myyy! We just happened upon this candy store, tried their free samples of pralines and walked out with a box of 6. The Rum praline are to die for! It's like eating a creamy bourbon pecan pie without the crust. So worth it. But in addition to that, it was nice to have the lady making the praline interact with us. She seem to appreciate our appreciation. :-) Friend service and delicious product, what a great way to end our visit to NOLA!
  • It is just another souvenirs store. In fact I found alot of stuff sold here cheaper else were. If you step into the French Market you can find everything that is sold here cheaper.

Where to stay in New Orleans

Though you can walk to most tourist attractions in New Orleans from a hotel in the central business district, remember that many other parts of town feature less expensive and equally comfortable accommodations. Smaller hotels and private guesthouses in quiet residential neighborhoods offer not only good local food and spacious rooms, but can also allow you to explore the city's culture away from overwhelming tourist crowds. To reduce your carbon footprint during your stay, consider one of French Quarter's many green or eco-friendly hotels.
