  • For a small price (8.50 for kids and adults alike) you can get into some really fun activities. From the nola-specific stuff like a kid-sized shipping boat and Jackson square where your toddler can replace the shady president in his statue, this place is great. Near other museums, the location is good too. It's not as amazing as the Indianapolis children's museum that I grew up with but it's a fine one for the region.
  • Good source of amusement for young kids. A few drawbacks include: no on-site restaurant or cafe so you have to dine somewhere nearby if your child gets hungry. They do have vending machines inside though. Also, no on-site parking but you can park at the lot next door for only $5. Overall your child will likely have a great time here. If your child is very active, they may not enjoy it as much because it's more of a calmer setting.
  • I have been going to this place since I was a kid. To bring my kids here was truly amazing. We all loved it and plan to return soon.
  • Really nice place for kids to spend time here! Fantastic a variety for the kids they can read, play , explore, painting.... If you are visiting New Orleans you should definitely check this place out!
  • Great for kids of all ages. My 12 year old had as much fun as my 3 and 4 year old. A great place to go.

Where to stay in New Orleans

Though you can walk to most tourist attractions in New Orleans from a hotel in the central business district, remember that many other parts of town feature less expensive and equally comfortable accommodations. Smaller hotels and private guesthouses in quiet residential neighborhoods offer not only good local food and spacious rooms, but can also allow you to explore the city's culture away from overwhelming tourist crowds. To reduce your carbon footprint during your stay, consider one of French Quarter's many green or eco-friendly hotels.
