  • This historical Roman Catholic Church also known as the Church of the Jesuits since it is used by the Jesuits. Although the current church was built in 1930 is on the site of an earlier church built in the 1850s and is a faithful copy of the original. The present building incorporates several features that survived from the original building. It is a super nice with exposed brick and very simple Church.

  • I have visited this church just off Canal Street every time I have been in New Orleans in the past 60 years! It is so "old school baroque" inside, and it never seems to change. It's worth a few minute...  more »
  • Attended mass here. The stained glass windows had just been redone. Very reverent tone. Mass was completed in less than 50 minutes. Local parishioners were very friendly.

  • Beautiful church inside and out. It is the only Jesuit church in Louisiana which makes it special in itself. Jesuits tend to be more liberal, while I am not Catholic myself I attended regularly with my wife who is but the reason I went was the priest. The Priest is great, never seen or heard anyone exemplify so genuinely the teachings of Jesus.
  • Very iconic church
  • Spectacular facade.
