  • First I am grading the Casino, as a five. The Motel is a 4. I love the theme and layout of the casino. It is a great representation of the spirit of New Orleans. Several good restaurants, from fast and cheap to elegant and pricy. Great assortment of slots, and most of the time pretty easy to get a drink. Great poker room....... and lots of free entertainment. A First Class Adult Playground.
  • Although provided with a friendly welcome, Management provided absolutely no info about the hotel, adjoined restaurants, WiFi, etc. The room was spacious but contained long strands of hair in bathroom (tub & shower) & on linens (towels, sheets, etc). Staff busied themselves with personal conversations in front of guests & I definitely didn't receive the Harrah's service that I'm accustomed to. After 3 days, I checked out & checked in the Hyatt that has provided SUPERB service thus far.
  • 1st the staff where very friendly and courtesy. They where willing to go that extra mile 4 you. Loved the room size, it was large, with a huge bathtub. The view from the room was breath-taking, you could see the great Mississippi River, with all the boat passing back and forth. The weather was great, in the 60s-80s, all the time we where here. Love people where, all polite. All in all had a great time here.
  • Really nice place, if you have money to spend it's a good place to be. Or if you need to park in the French Quarter, just go to the casino and get a total rewards card and play slots for 30 minutes and you get a 24 hr parking validation for their garage. But be warned, that's harder than it sounds.
  • Used their play for a half hour, get free parking. Definitely worth it. Had a hot dog from their "Lucky Dog" stand. Tasty. Bathrooms were pretty clean. Played the slots...too many poker and older machines

Where to stay in New Orleans

Though you can walk to most tourist attractions in New Orleans from a hotel in the central business district, remember that many other parts of town feature less expensive and equally comfortable accommodations. Smaller hotels and private guesthouses in quiet residential neighborhoods offer not only good local food and spacious rooms, but can also allow you to explore the city's culture away from overwhelming tourist crowds. To reduce your carbon footprint during your stay, consider one of French Quarter's many green or eco-friendly hotels.
