  • Spent a morning at this park hiking and looking for rocks. The trails are well maintained, not too long, and offer plenty of opportunity to wander off-trail. The scenery was gorgeous: lots of cactus a...  more »

  • Super nice park. Plenty of room at the RV sites and very well kept up. The park lets you pick and keep up to 15 lbs of rocks that you find. Looked for gems and geodes but was unable to find. Recommend this park highly to RV campers who are tired of the sardine experience. The Santa Fe style on the buildings was a nice touch.
  • Wow, what a campsite! The views and serene silence is unlike anywhere else. And it was only $14 to camp with power and water hookups! The park ranger volunteers are the kindest, most welcoming people I've met yet. Some sites are very spacious, though we stayed in the overflow area which was fine, too. We stayed overnight in a 30' travel trailer.
  • Awesome place to spend a while looking for cool rocks. We didn't camp there, but there is a campground with rv provisions. You are free to explore the whole park and take any rock you find.
  • Bathrooms are clean (showers were a tad chilly for me though), sites were nice, the views were breath-taking, our children loved collecting rocks to bring home, the camp host was SO kind and very helpful. only wished we had had more time there - more pics on our blog - Approved Adventures
  • Awesome campsite, great setting, new facilities, warm water (showers are great, private stalls are nice), and amazing wildlife!
