  • After touring the Hunter- Dawson House, we drive to the river and had a picnic lunch. Then we stopped at the museum for a tour. We were there about 45 minutes which included two short videos--one abou...  more »
  • We decided to drive over to New Madrid, as I have history "buffs" in my family. This was pretty interesting. Admission was $5.00. A person. I enjoyed it. It was pretty interesting and worth the money.  more »
  • The most engaging exhibits are related to the 1800's earthquakes. The historical is ok but a bit outdated. Their were several nice Civil War and native american artifacts displays. A nice gift shop wi...  more »

  • Was just a quickie. We stopped in on our way back from Tunica. Was very impressed with the History of the town. Didn't realize how much of U.S. was affected by the earthquake. Wish we would have went there for Vacation instead of Tunica.Would recommend a couple of days there to see more.
  • Knowledgeable director. Interesting exhibits. The director could, in his normal voice, address a school bus full of kids on the last day of school and be heard easily.
  • Great little museum with a lot of history to share.
  • Most people don't know about the country's largest earthquake. I was fascinated by this little museum!
  • Friendly knowledgeable owner. Combined with river overlook and ice cream shop two blocks down, a worthwhile roadside diversion.
