  • This was our first time to this beach and we were really impressed with how big and spacious it is. So much beach, boardwalk was wide. Excited to return when it's warmer and open for business!  more »
  • The place is about two miles from my house and it's been about two years since I've been there. And the place needs to update.  more »
  • Nice to see they brought back some rides. Excellent place to bring small children with the secured play area. Summer fireworks on Friday during the summer!  more »

  • It's a nice beach. Port n Starboard is a great place to hold a wedding. Fancy yet not too crazy. The food at the concession stand is overly priced and I've never been down the water slide but it doesn't look too impressive. However, I do like that there isn't any seaweed here. The water can be freezing at times but otherwise it's not too bad and relatively clear. You do have to pay to get in by car or on foot (3$) so that's the downside.
  • Stopped here on our road trip down the east coast. We wanted to find a beach to just relax for a few hours. We did not go into the actually amusement part but went to the beach. Sand and beach was really nice. Water was calm. They do have a few food options (Typical amusement part food). If your in the area and want a quick beach stop I would recommend this place.
  • I've been coming here for over 20 years and it hasn't changed at all. It's a great place to bring kids because they can catch tons of hermit crabs and fiddler crabs, they can watch the stripped bass swim around and swim next to them. The water is pretty calm and the waves aren't huge. There are also water slides, some carnival rides, places to eat and shop, there's a nice boardwalk, an in ground pool, a splash around for the little ones, and even a little park with swings and a slide.
  • This beach has it all. And for the people complaining about price... this is every beaches cost to get in and none other than ocean beach are groomed daily and so well taken care of. Pay for what you get. Protective life guards. Clean sand. Clear water. And good fun.
  • Great beach been coming here for years with my kids. Earlier this season while visiting the beach some people near us were drinking alcohol openly and had really offensive music playing loudly. When this was brought to the lifeguards attention by many people there, she promptly stated that she loved that kind of music and didn't do anything about the situation. In fact she went over and was singing along with them etc. LOTS of people were leaving the area complaining about the beach and how it's gone down hill. I fully agree. It's a beautiful beach but I haven't been back since and I don't plan on coming back. Found some other really nice beaches near by that I never knew about so will be trying them out (and their parking is way, way, way cheaper too!). You should really find lifeguards to enforce the rules of the beach and keep people safe and happy.
