  • Fantstisk beach with great hiking opportunities on plattingen. This is a place that is very worth to go to. During the summer there is also the water park that is open.

  • Went as a kid, now as a Grandparent. Oh what fun! Pool, beach, amusement park. A fun family getaway.
  • A large, wind sand beach with a spectacular ocean view. Situated close to the mouth of the Thames River you are treated to not only the daily travels of the ferry boats and small craft there are those...  read more »
  • Great beach been coming here for years with my kids. Earlier this season while visiting the beach some people near us were drinking alcohol openly and had really offensive music playing loudly. When this was brought to the lifeguards attention by many people there, she promptly stated that she loved that kind of music and didn't do anything about the situation. In fact she went over and was singing along with them etc. LOTS of people were leaving the area complaining about the beach and how it's gone down hill. I fully agree. It's a beautiful beach but I haven't been back since and I don't plan on coming back. Found some other really nice beaches near by that I never knew about so will be trying them out (and their parking is way, way, way cheaper too!). You should really find lifeguards to enforce the rules of the beach and keep people safe and happy.
  • I was EXTREMELY impressed by the beach. Drove over an hour to attend. Definitely worth the $23 parking. HOWEVER, the 2 stars I give is in reference to the man that runs the water slide "area". He was EXTREMELY RUDE!! Save your $10/person and do not give this guy your money. Yelling at the kids and he was super rude to my friend and I. Water slides are old and dangerous. NOT WORTH THE MONEY WHAT-SO-EVER!!! Save that $10, or throw it in the garbage, because that's basically what you'd be doing in this case.....
  • A little pricey on the parking but the beach is great! Have some fun at the water park, or dip in the pool, don't wanna get wet? Play some mini golf or walk the boardwalk. There is always a game of volleyball going on that you can join as well. Tons of fun!!
  • I've been coming here for over 20 years and it hasn't changed at all. It's a great place to bring kids because they can catch tons of hermit crabs and fiddler crabs, they can watch the stripped bass swim around and swim next to them. The water is pretty calm and the waves aren't huge. There are also water slides, some carnival rides, places to eat and shop, there's a nice boardwalk, an in ground pool, a splash around for the little ones, and even a little park with swings and a slide.
  • It was a very nice beach with a lot to offer. Definitely a great place for the family! Can't wait to go back next month and bring my son he's going to love everything! The reason for only 4 stars, the bathrooms could have been cleaner!
