Ski Sundown Reviews
We were visiting the area from Florida, and although our kids had all skied before they are definitely beginners. The day that we were there, the bunny slope area was so poorly groomed that our kids e... more »

Ski sundown is an old standby for me in the winter months. If you are in the area like i am , dont pass it up, even though there are better places to ski. more »
Love it here! Groomed trails daily, friendly staff, clean, plenty of parking, rentals for ski and snowboard, lessons for all levels, and private lessons too. They also have adaptive programs which is awesome! Great food offerings, and yummy adult beverages. Quarter operated lockers are available as wel. They offer so many programs for all ages! Don't procrastinate, get your butt over to Ski Sundown!! Enjoy the Winter time at Ski Sundown!
It's a good place for those who want to learn skiing as beginners and a really cool place for those who are already pros at it. Loved the experience and the customer service this place provides. It's got great views from up top and working equipment. I always keep going back for more action!
I usually wait longer before submitting a review. But our experience here has been exceptional every single time. Our fourth lesson here today and a list of all things five star worthy: 1. Excellent teaching staff. Dedicated and friendly. Our first lesson was with Emily. Simply put, in one beginner lesson our kid went from not wanting to learn the sport to it being his favorite sport of all. Period. Next two lessons were with Max and we found the same instilling of love for the sport. And again with Garrick. I am certain that this quality will repeat at each level. 2. Very attentive and helpful help desk. They take the time to answer your questions. 3. Clean and comfortable facility with food service. Food is expensive but I wouldn’t count that in reviewing as this is more of a sport school than a recreation resort. The trails are NOT open for anything other than skiing and snowboarding. Tips: After school hours and weekends can be very crowded, so if you’d like to avoid the crowds, get there in the night time. Pack a snack and water if you want to save. The ticket included with the lesson gives a four hour access, so plan to come early or stay Kate to make the most of it.
Brought my 2 older kids (4 & 2) for their first time skiing. My son took a private class, while my husband and I just pulled my daughter around as she was too young for lessons. Everyone was so friendly and nice, renting equipment was easy, the instructor couldn't have been nicer or more patient. We will definitely be going back.
Best in CT! The staff goes out of their way to help everyone have a good time. The ski school is fantastic, especially if you go for night skiing. Very small classes with qualified instructors.
