  • The architecture of the Atheneum warrants a visit on its own, but inside you'll find wonderful resources for understanding the history, purpose, layout, etc. of New Harmony in its Utopian incarnations...  more »
  • Very quiet and interesting place. The food was real good , I think the room was nice but a little over price. We got golf cart to use to look at the town . Had good time.  more »

  • Perhaps one of Richard Meier most famous buildings, and one you can actually visit.
  • Beautiful building. Staff was very helpful. Not much to see unless you pay extra to see the top floor or for the 10 minute video (we passed on both of those). Good area to park to explore the rest of New Harmony, which is very easy to walk around. There are several trails from the Athenaeum leading to the river with beautiful views.
  • Was just passing through and stopped to kill some time, t was a nice day and I enjoyed walking around and looking at all their stuff.
  • Really cool building and kind workers with lots of information.
  • Liked building better once guide explained that it was designed to look like a boat. A good place to begin your tour of New Harmony - model of town and knowledgeable staff.
