  • The prettiest lighthouse in Maine! Even though you have a $3 per person entrance to the park it is so well worth it. A beautiful light house that can be climbed to view the tower! Barely no one there....  more

  • My most favorite lighthouse to date. Beautiful scenery. Able to walk the rocks, sit in shaded areas and enjoy the views. But the best part is you can actually go up to the top of the lighthouse. Great museum, super friendly staff. Definitely a must see!
  • We had a wonderful time visiting here recently! The best part was just walking around on the rocky shore, looking at the tidal pools, and enjoying the ocean view! I would suggest wearing good walking shoes to visit here so you can enjoy walking around on the rocks without worrying about hurting your feet. It was fun to go inside the lighthouse and take the steps to the top, but if you have a fear of heights it may not be for you. You can see down through the holes in the steps and there is a small ladder at the top to climb. Even if you don't make it to the top of the lighthouse, you can still have a great time visiting here!
  • So glad we were able to see Pemaquid Point Lighthouse!! This lighthouse was commissioned by John Quincy Adams in 1827 and as a beloved landmark of Maine, it was chosen to be featured on the 2003 State Quarter, from the 50 States Quarters series. If you ever get a chance to go and after you enjoy the spectacular scenery, be sure to check out the Fisherman’s Museum. We learned so much about Lobster Trapping and Lobsters, that we had no idea about. The volunteers for this place are so knowledgeable and love to share the history with you. We absolutely loved our visit here and it’s definitely worth the few dollars they charge for entrance.
  • Our first lighthouse of the trip and it didn’t disappoint. It is the lighthouse on the Maine quarter coin. Very beautiful! There is a little museum connected to it. The volunteer is very helpful and eager to educate about the fishing history in the area. Worth the trip!
  • Very nice park to stop at. It was awesome going up into the lighthouse. My mom a little hesitant going up but she was able to do the spiral staircase and ladder just fine. I think its $6 a person. Lots of parking and friendly staff.
