  • Coming soon a clubhouse that has been promised for at least 10 years. OK, I'm about a 22 handicap so making 4 pars in a row was very memorable for me. The views are spectacular with lots of elevated t...  read more »
  • Great vistas from every tee box. Fair but challenging fairways and greens. Week day play fairly open and fast. Staff very helpful and friendly.
  • A quiet, secluded front nine and a scenic, flowing back nine make LCR one of my favorites in CO. And they're finally getting a beautiful clubhouse.
  • Just got done playing 18 and had a great time. Beautiful views and homes surround this course. Local knowledge would have definitely helped a bit but the greens are very forgiving and most have a backstop and the fairways are large enough for a bogey golfer to not get to frustrated. The natural foliage that lines the course is not forgiving at all..lots of lost balls reside in those bushes,I'm sure. I will definitely recommend this course to people in the area and be back to play again...with my new local knowledge. Very friendly staff and reasonably priced. Bring your own clubs if you are able..they have rental clubs..but they are low end rental clubs. This course is very fun for beginners and established players alike..just play the proper tees. Take a camera as well..the place is beautiful.
  • This is a Jim Engh course for those of you who know his work. Lots of elevations, concave fairways, pot bunkers and use of topography. Be prepared to be challenged, it is not for the casual golfer in my opinion. Requires a cart for all but the marathon runners and you will probably lose some/a lot of balls. Pretty to look at, in good to excellent condition but can be very frustrating to play.
  • Nice course very challenging. New clubhouse being built when I was there.
  • I rank Lakota Canyon Ranch super high on the "fun scale". The front nine is simply beautiful and thrilling. You'll quickly hit 3 great par 5's early in your round on the front nine. And the par 3 3rd hole is an exciting downhiller with a mighty backstop. Depending on the pin placement, your tee position and the wind you may be hitting an easy sand wedge here and backing it down to the hole. The back nine also has some exciting holes. The 18th is a great risk/reward par 5. Some golf purists may not approve of the valley fairways and bowl greens but everytime I've brought visitors on a Colorado golf tour they rave about the fun they had at LCR and rank it at the top of the many fine CO courses we play. LCR is now part of Warrior Golf and will FINALLY be getting and nice clubhouse and deck when some area street improvements are completed. That will definitely satisfy some of the complainers who have been critical of the humble clubhouse and old wooden deck. Last played Aug 4, 2015. samsherstad
  • Absolutely fantastic Mountain course, with great service, and great marshalls. The course was in amazing shape, and was an absolute blast to play. Very challenging, with tough holes, elevated tees, and incredible views. We were on our way to Aspen, and considered playing a couple much more expensive courses, but we're so glad we chose Lakota Canyon. I will definitely play there again, as the price for the course was out of this world!
