One of the best waterplaces in texas, will be visiting again soon! Don't miss out on newest of the 2 parks!!
The water is EXTREMELY COLD, however it's a nice place to go. Lines are too long but when it's time to ride it was cool. I'm giving it 4 stars because the wave pool was AWESOME!!!
Best family park if you can avoid the crowds. Middle week is great. Original park favored over the higher action new park a short bus ride away. Bring your own cooler with drinks and food. Set-up at o... read more »
Schlitterbahn is awesome!... BUT their "Photo Haus" partners that take the pictures are incredibly incompetent, and Katelyn Loges (the contact listed if you want to try to retrieve your pictures) is rather sarcastic over email. If you don't have time (or if you forget) to view and purchase your pictures before you leave the park, you have no other option than to buy the $20 picture blindly. They offer no watermarked proof, or even a low-quality crop of JUST your face so u can make sure you're not funky looking or making a weird face. They offer to "describe" the photo to you. That's just not good enough for $20. It's 2016, and it's quite amazing that a company as big as Schlitterbahn would partner with such an incompetent photo service.
We are from New Braunfels and season pass holders, so we have had plenty of experiences at Schlitterbahn. There is never a disappointment. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Yesterday McKenzie was our waitress at our cabana and she was exceptional! Even with the huge rain storm mid-afternoon, we had such a perfect day! Yesterday we had a "first-aid" experience because my 7 yr old son got tossed by a wave in the wave pool and scrapped his back and elbow on the bottom of the pool. The staff was so great with him and got him cleaned up very quickly! I also have to say (since working as a bartender here in college), kudos to Schlitterbahn for stepping up the adult beverages in recent years. Typically at theme parks, you pay an arm and a leg and there's basically zero alcohol content. The adult drinks are not like that!
Good place to enjoy the day. There are two parks, one old and one new, connected by shuttles. Both can be entered with a single ticket. Good rides and lots of fun activities. Do try to ride the wooded crocodile in the new park. Too much fun !!
The workers in this park are very rude, especially on some of the lazy river rides, there seemed to be a terrible bottle neck , the workers just looked at my son instead of helping him move through the slide. I asked the lady if she could help him and she just looked at me. So I just eventually told my son to just get off. The park is too expensive for visitors to not be able to completely move through the rides. Will never visit this one again.
I've been going to Schlitterbahn since I was a baby and it's just as fun now as it was then. Great slides and a lot of them. I like the old park best - spring fed rides are more fun than chlorinated ones! Make sure to bring an ice chest, you'll definitely get hungry. This year we tried out the "blast passes" and even though it wasn't fun to pay more, they were worth every penny
