  • We took a side excursion through the park which is built on the pristine Comal River. We had visited this park many times with our 2 year old 36 years ago while living here! The "Founder's Oak Tree" i...  read more »
  • Great park. Relaxing environment. Walking trail. Comal river and fun train ride thru the park. Bring a lunch. Play on swings and enjoy.
  • Its always a good time to go to this park. Sometimes deer will walk right in the middle of the park. They don't seem to be afraid of people. Lots of animals for the kids to see. They even have a small swimming area for kids. Great place for pictures if pokemon go players aren't ruining the shot. They all huddle in one spot for hours and hours.
  • This is absolutely my favorite park. With a train, peddle boats, a wading pool, and a nature trail there is something for everyone here. The ducks and geese are fun to watch. People fish and there are even sometimes free concerts. It can be crazy busy some weekends, however. It is a must visit when in New Braunfels.
  • The work they've done has really paid off. Wading pool is clean and safe, place has a lot less litter, and the kids loved the train which was also clean. Staff are all very nice and I can't wait to go have a picnic here soon. Bathrooms are average for a public park, fairly clean with basic supplies (ie bring your own soap). Really really appreciate the handicap and stroller accessible walkways. We didn't have time for the playground but they look awesome. Oh and summertime bonus- concerts in the park are on Thursdays!
  • This park was great! Kid friendly, lots to do, and spacious. The train was fun, however, bring cash. They accept nothing but cash. Overall great experience for families.
  • It's clean, it's pretty and there's tons of wildlife which is neat. I grew up around this park and it's always been nice. There are more and more people coming to the peak now so the serenity and cleanliness might not last much longer.
