  • If you like fire trucks this is a nice place to visit. It has the oldest fire engines used in New Bern dating all of the way back to the 1800's. The staff there are very friendly and gave us a persona...  more »

  • One of the many little gems I saw in New Bern NC yesterday. Back in the early days if you did not have fire insurance they would just let your house burn. Also learned how the Fire doge was used to clear the way for the horses and keep the horses from running off because they were removed from the hitches at the fire because if horse's fear of fire. Got a personal tour and was only $5.00 to seen. I enjoyed the tour greatly and how much she love to tell the stores.
