  • Cathedral Gorge State Park is well worth a visit. It's not that big (you can easily on a half-day visit), but yet the effort pays off. You can wander between the rock formation (short walks of a few tens of metres) or opt for the longer trail (6 km). Especially at sunset, the beauty of this park full justice. It is not there at all pressure, which also always nice.

  • We enjoyed our quick visit to this Nevada State Park. The rock formations are incredible. There are a few slot canyon trails you can follow. Great place for a hike.
  • located right on the great basin Highway (93) in Nevada. We still didn't know this State Park and stopped short at the Miller point overlook on our drive from Ely to Las Vegas. In any case, a short, or even slightly longer stop is more than worth! Beautiful "Felsdöme" there is there to see and that, so trees it acts almost, every moment down would have to tumble to the slope of the Canyon. Can walk through the dried-out Riverbed, what we have failed due to the scorching midday sun, however.

  • Actually found this place by accident, was not lookign for it but sure glad we stopped to look. Actually think I saw an alien peeking out from one of the hoodoos! Miller Point is the best overlook. As a State Park, it is well kept, clean and so far graffiti free. Just need more time to explore the trails and the peaks more. Bring water and camera. Also keep your eyes open as you leave, there are some other landmarks and historical points you may drive by and not see, but should. This area is rich in American and western history
  • The campground is really well maintained, and the Rangers come by daily to rake the lots and tidy up. The group area has horseshoe pits, tether ball and volleyball. The bathrooms are all flush toilet and there are free showers as well. The trails are maintained, and the kids love running around through the caves and crags.
  • This is an interesting well kept Nevada Park. It's an out of the way place many people may not be aware of. It was worth the stop over Memorial Day weekend. Nice picture ops!!
  • Beautiful area, and the camping sites are great! I didn't get to hike any trails because it was way too hot out, but maybe another time when it's cooler. The landscape here is insanely awesome!
  • Beautiful slot canyon, or caves, as these are called here. Excellent camp site which includes showers. Excellent night sky viewing as well.
