  • Cool cave. Nice people. Kids loved the gift shop. The cave has many fascinating goelogical features. The price was a little high, or I would give 5 stars.  more »

  • I was hoping for diversity in color... but it's mostly a brown snot color. It did have ONE green fern... a rare site in a cave. Way overpriced gift shop with not much selection, but it was fun. Small ...  more »

  • We had a terrible experience here. We checked the website for times of operation. It said they closed at 5. When we arrived at 2:15, there was a note on the door of the gift shop stating the next tour would be at 3. At 2:45 I was informed the cave was closing for the season and I should have checked Facebook or called. Facebook had the cave open when I checked an hour later. Rude. We will not go back here. Customer service did not exist on this day.
  • According to the website things should have been open today. But, if I didn't know any better, judging from the empty sign post at the entrance, that things might be closed for the season... Why not put a sign up in that empty space? Why not tell folks on the website that you are closed so they don't spend their time driving up, as I did for 2 days, today and Friday. How disappointing.
  • The tour of the cave was ok. Getting there was a long ordeal with little signage. Best to approach it from I90 freeway in South Dakota. Also too pricey for what there was to see.
  • Wonderland cave is located in the Black Hills of South Dakota. It has many stalactites and stalagmites. Stalactites are tightly held to the ceiling while stalagmites might grow up to be columns and connect to stalactites. This cave has many interesting formations. The cave was easy to find, and The staff is very friendly.
  • I was on a solo road trip & showed up as well as a young couple at the tail end of March. We were told that the cave tours don't start until May 1st (you guys are awesome but signs showing seasonal dates would be really good) but the gentleman that greeted us kindly gave us a tour of the cave. Very knowledgeable as well as some added humor on the tour. The history of & how the cave formed, as well as how delicate the ecosystem within the cave was very interesting to learn. Definitely would recommend touring the caves & when I'm visiting from B.C. again I will be back with family in tow.
