  • Our tour guide wasn't the best. He didn't share any of the history of the cave unless we asked so that was disappointing. But the cave itself was neat. It's a very wet cave so there are a lot of forma...  more »
  • We were rained out at Deadwood and decided to go see this cave. The drive there was beautiful and the views from the area were amazing. The cave tour was funny and out kids enjoyed the sites. Make sur...  more »
  • First to know, there are 122 stairs in the cave. Going down is easy; going up is a little harder. My hubby and I are large and out of shape, but we did it. The cave is gorgeous! It's expensive, but it...  more »

  • Pictures of the cave on website are deceiving & the price seemed high for what you got. Would reccomend spending your money somewhere else. The staff was very nice, but our tour guide was very inexperienced and seemed uncomfortable. They had lasers in a small area of the cave and a few other things throughout the cave that really took away from the natural beauty of it as well. Granted we are from Utah and have an awesome cave there that certainly costs less and is run by the national forest service. That being said, there were some cool features in this cave that we've never seen anywhere. Just don't think the admission price for 3 people was worth it. 😕
  • I was on a solo road trip & showed up as well as a young couple at the tail end of March. We were told that the cave tours don't start until May 1st (you guys are awesome but signs showing seasonal dates would be really good) but the gentleman that greeted us kindly gave us a tour of the cave. Very knowledgeable as well as some added humor on the tour. The history of & how the cave formed, as well as how delicate the ecosystem within the cave was very interesting to learn. Definitely would recommend touring the caves & when I'm visiting from B.C. again I will be back with family in tow.
  • Great staff. A lot of fun. Extreme climb
  • The staff is super nice and very knowledgeable. The tour takes a minimum of 45 minutes so PLEASE get there before 6pm! (Just a little FYI for the other reviews grumbling about not getting to go on a tour. When it says "Close at 7pm"... It doesn't mean you should expect an hour long tour at the last minute when they are ready to shut down for the night.) There were about 126 steps down into the cave and the guide said at one point we were about 300 feet under the surface. I am Claustrophobic and this was my first cave tour ever. I had a little trouble since it gets kind of tight in areas but it was a pretty cool experience and I'm glad I did it. There are a ton of fun photo ops around the property and the outside of the property has been kept up well and is very cute! I'm not sure this is the best thing to take little kids to though. My nieces are under 5 years old. They loved the outside but we're not fans of being inside a cave. Make sure your children are into caves or a bit older for this one and have used the bathroom before taking the tour! They also had a cool gift shop. We found a lot of great stuff there.
  • Nice cave. Small but well lit and smooth. Steep stairs at first but adds to the reality of the cave.
