  • They have a great museum. Very interesting, with lots of artifacts. It's great for all ages. They also have a nice gift shop.

  • For the history and stories alone, you have to take the time. This whaling community distinguished itself by being the only whaling tribe that protected this activity by treaty. The revived canoe culture that has grown up around it is an inspiring story of contemporary survival, even revival, of native cultures and languages that we very nearly wiped out. Taste the dried fish.
