  • We visited the Zoo with family who had been before and liked it. I understand why. This is quite delightful - small but with interesting features. We really liked the bird sanctuary where you could en...  read more »
  • I took my 5 children ages 14, 11, 10, 10, and 2 to this zoo today and every one of us had a great time! What a special place. They have such a nice variety of animals to see and interact with. You can feed many of them and if you can't then you can get up pretty close to see them. We love the goats that you can feed and pet. Our favorite was the parakeet exhibit where you can enter and be surrounded by beautiful parakeets that you can feed and even hold! The elephant ride is a little short, but well worth it. She's a sweetie. We were impressed by the fresh food that the animals had to eat. They looked happy and healthy. Staff was very friendly.
  • I took my grandson to the zoo today. He asked me last night to "Please, Nana, take me to the zoo... PLEASE!" I am so happy that there is a zoo within driving distance for me. I used to take my children to this zoo when they were young, and it was so much fun pairing it with a visit to the Bridge, just as I did today. I also took many of my kindergarten classes on field trips here. I read all the recent negative reviews on this site last night, but vowed I was going with an open mind. What I saw today was the same, small zoo I remembered. It isn't a San Diego Wild Animal Park, by no means, but I saw a zoo doing the best they can with the funds they have. The animals looked fed and were even playing. My grandson was thrilled to see giraffes and the elephant, and all the other exhibits. I saw workers feeding and interacting with the animals. Yes, some of the grass needed mowing, but I can certainly look past that when there are other more important factors to consider. With all the negative reviews, I'm certain that attendance is low. We were there one hour and I saw no one else visiting. I'm certain that more staff could be hired if the zoo had more support. I taught school for thirty-one years. During those years I actually visited the homes of my students. I found more deplorable living conditions in some of those homes than I did at this zoo. And those homes had government assistance! I had a lovely day with my grandson at the Natural Bridge Zoo. Perhaps local civic groups, Boy Scouts , etc would like to approach the zoo about volunteering to help get the place spruced up a bit. I say instead of complaining, offer to help. I, for one, would like to see them stay open. ( I had to use my husband's google account to sign on for this review. )
  • Very expensive and very few animals. I have been there several other times and loved it but not this time. Bought food and there were very few animals to feed. If things don't get any better than when I was there I'm not sure how long you will stay in business. I could have went to a farm and seen the animals I saw there. I sure won't be back anytime soon.
  • Drove 2 1/2 hours and get there and told cant take a 1 lb pup in with you in your arms. Never said nothing about no pets on site phone recording. Or store at the entrance of the zoo.. i knew this id left pup at the house with someone. And the woman let me know they covered the sign on rhe door.. so i sit in the vehicle for 1 1/2 waiting on hubby n gson.. So i thought id let yall know and im not impressed by the place by the looks on the outdide hate to see thd inside. Probdbly not worth you time or money. Looking T the teviews now while i eait. No too goo 3rd worst out of 10 wow.hubby n gson came out took them 20 mins to go thru the zoo said it was a joke and waye of time n money. And animals was takung care of A big joke
  • Horrified at what I just saw about this pathetic excuse for a zoo on YouTube (look it up, for those who want to come here.) This place must either shut down, or hire new workers who can CARE for the animals, NOT ABUSE THEM. You people are barbarians, and I am horrified places like these exist.
