  • The Capital Wheel can be found on the waterfront of the National Harbor. It is basically a large Ferris wheel from which you can see the river and parts of Washington D.C. If you like Ferris wheels, y...  more »
  • We had coupons from our hotel for discounted tickets so we came down to ride at sunset. The wait was short and the view while waiting is nice. The cabins have pop music playing and adjustable air vent...  more »
  • Quiet and relaxing trip. We basically walked right on and were surprised by how long the actual ride is. Wish you could turn the lights off though on the inside and that there was a better view of DC ...  more »

  • We came on a rainy day, but that might habe been a blessing. It was nit crowded and we lucked out on the weather and had the opportunity to get on the ride without long waits in line. The cute was amazing, even though there were several clouds. Great way to take photos of three different states. Look fir a discount on line. Military can get one at the ticket counter.
  • I hate heights, so this was a challenge for me to get on, but when you have a kid, you do things you normally wouldn't do. The wheel does provide A/C cooled enclosed capsules for your ride around the wheel. The ride lasts approximately 15 minutes which results in about 10 turns around the wheel at a decent clip. The views are spectacular and is a great experience (for those that don't mind heights). It would be nice to have more shade on the line waiting outside and to utilize more of the capsules as due to weight balancing (even though there were plenty in line to fill) they were not all used.
  • Pretty fun attraction but very touristy. Not quite as large as the Ferris wheel in Vegas or London but you get a great view of the Potomac. Cars all have emergency buttons if you don't like heights, as well as AC. You'll go around 4 or 5 times. Not very busy when we went so the line was nonexistent.
  • Great way to see the harbor and the whole DMV area, well mostly DC and VA, but a lot of fun. The passenger cars are air conditioned and very comfortable and the staff is very nice and helpful. There is a military and senior discount. Great for kids and visiting family!
  • Nice view and worth the 16 dollars. The employees were also very nice and got people on and off quickly.
