Tourist Spot Educational Site
There are eight historic buildings, dating back to 1819, that sit on 40 acres of beautiful manicured lawn, complete with Spanish moss-covered Live Oak trees and azaleas. Behind the buildings lays the 40-acre T.J. Foster Memorial Nature Trail, which is made of three hiking paths and runs down to St. Catherine Creek. The longest trail is about a mile long, but hilly and rugged. The site is FREE and open to the public.

  • The buildings are all empty so even if you could go in there's nothing to see. The brochure is very light on details & I just couldn't understand why anyone would want to go here.  more »
  • It is always very calming to visit Jefferson College. Again, knowing a little bit of the history of this place before visiting makes you appreciate it much more and understand the culture of that time...  more »
  • We have driven up to the college in the past but never when it was open. This time we decided to go during business hours. The staff barely greeted us, pointed to the guest book and handed us a brochu...  more »
