  • We have been here several times, great location, great rooftop and view from the main level bar. The music this past weekend was sadly TERRIBLE. Play some country music. We didn't want to listen to hi...  more »
  • We loved George Jones and spent a lot of time on the rooftop bar. Our primary reason for going was because it was a gathering for Baltimore Ravens fans while we were here for the Ravens vs. Titans foo...  more »

  • Delicious but understaffed. A really cool atmosphere but I didn't hear one George Jones song the entire time. When we came in there was a sign to seat ourselves and we took a table near the stage in the back on the other side of the bar. Not a single person came to greet us or take our order. In fact, the one waiter we saw running around serviced two other tables that sat down after us. The bartender stepped up and served us after we sat for awhile. He was very nice but it doesn't make up for how understaffed the place was. Other than that the food was delicious, if you hit it on a good day you'll have no trouble.
  • Very Friendly Atmosphere.. All Employees were at their best with the utmost respect for the patrons and visitors. The artifacts and bibliographies you will see in the museum tell George's story of life with vivid detail. This place is a great family friendly environment and suggestion is to go there and have a great time!!
  • We went and were the only ones there. The food looked good although we didn't eat there. The museum is tons of fun and there's quite a bit to see!
  • The Possum was alive inside. Everything was well storylines and easy to read. Only thing too much music going on and stepping on each area. Few people there so it maybe it is better when crowded.
  • It was very interesting and fun. Worth the price of admission. The gift shop is almost non existent. There are interactive displays that we're not working during our visit. There are no guides, or audio tours available. It is a must see for country music fans. I was disappointed that there was nothing there about his death or funeral...

Where to stay in Nashville

Stay in downtown, midtown, the west end, or near Vanderbilt to be at the center of it all in Nashville. You'll find plenty of boutique hotels and major chains in all of these areas, which give you great access to the downtown music scene and beyond. While you can find a bit of everything in downtown Nashville, from larger hotels to apartment rentals, keep in mind that more affordable, and often quainter, options are located further from Broadway. Travelers looking to spend most of their time at the Grand Ole Opry should consider accommodations in the Opryland or Music Valley area near the airport.
