Nashville Zoo, Nashville
(2.9/5 based on 950+ reviews on the web)
Interact with animals and visit a historical estate at Nashville Zoo. In 1996, the zoo merged with the adjacent Grassmere Wildlife Park and now covers 81 ha (200 acres) and holds more than 6,000 animals, from colorful birds and fish to large predators. Take a behind-the-scenes tour to learn how the animals are taken care of and to get an opportunity to pet and feed the some of the zoo's residents. A guided tour of the Grassmere mansion is a window into the Tennessee's past. Be prepared for a lot of walking, because the zoo does its best to give the animals a lot of space.
