  • My GPS tried to take me around to the front of the building, but the entrance/check-in is on the other side. My husband and I checked in pretty late in the evening. There was no wait. Checking in was easy. Getting the car parked was easy enough, but be aware that if you self-park (not valet), there is a $29 extra charge. We also arrived late enough that we had to park in a farther lot and had quite a walk in. Getting to the room was also not easy. They provided us with a map, but we still managed to get turned around. Once we got to the room, it was a very nice room. A large king bed, plenty of space, everything was neat and clean. There were two sinks in the room - one in the restroom and one outside, so that one person could do their thing and not have to be in the restroom while someone was taking a shower. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The facilities themselves were wonderful. So many trees and green plants and flowers. I woke up in the morning with enough time to go exploring. There are so many things to see that I know I did not see everything in one morning. This place is a wonderful place to visit just for the experience alone, but to make it worth the resort fee and parking cost it's probably worthwhile to stay more than one day. I still rated it 5 stars because even with all that, it was still the kind of experience I wanted to have.
  • This is a great place for conventions and just to visit. The hotel is lovely. Our room's tub had a very slow drain. There is some walking involved for check-in and check-out (at least for most rooms). We had a really good time, and got our 10,000 steps in just wandering around the hotel for events and amenities. You can certainly walk less and still enjoy dining and the gardens, but we enjoyed wandering all over. The gardens are amazing, and we loved walking all the different paths. Our toddler loved the riverboat ride. I would highly recommend this hotel for families.
  • So incredibly beautiful!!! There are 3 different areas of beautiful plants and trees. There are waterfalls and walkways that look like you're walking through a forest. The "weather" during the day is a little humid if you are on the top walkways, but it is still comfortable for the most part. There are so many picture opportunities. Bring your camera or have your phone fully charged. If you go during the evening, they have white twinkle lights hanging throughout the Cascade walkway. It is definitely worth the$29.00 for parking. The rest of the area is free
  • A great place to visit, even if you aren't staying here (though surprisingly I've heard the lodging is affordable). Huge. Gardens. Trees. Rivers. 5+ separate restaurants located INSIDE the resort. All of this is Entirely indoors. And guess what? If you spend your admission price at one of the restaurants, you get your admission price REFUNDED. Just for buying awesome food. A great place to spend several hours walking and taking pictures, and then to choose a restaurant and sit down to a gourmet meal for $25 less than it normally would've cost. A MUST SEE in Nashville.
  • Spectacular view inside and outside. Rooms are room with clean and room set up. Tons of restaurants places to see places to take photos and watch out you might get lost if not caring a map in front of you. Just kidding, they ha e maps everywhere inside to help guide you everywhere inside. Plaza to shops to food to awesome scenery! Love it here!!!!

Where to stay in Nashville

Stay in downtown, midtown, the west end, or near Vanderbilt to be at the center of it all in Nashville. You'll find plenty of boutique hotels and major chains in all of these areas, which give you great access to the downtown music scene and beyond. While you can find a bit of everything in downtown Nashville, from larger hotels to apartment rentals, keep in mind that more affordable, and often quainter, options are located further from Broadway. Travelers looking to spend most of their time at the Grand Ole Opry should consider accommodations in the Opryland or Music Valley area near the airport.
