Fontanel Mansion, Nashville

4.6
The privately owned mansion of singer Barbara Mandrell and her husband Ken Dudney, Fontanel Mansion was named after the soft spot on a baby's head. Stroll the home's interior to view photos, objects, and memorabilia from the country music industry and an elegant collection of furniture and decor. Outside you can walk a trail, simply called "The Trails," which is free to the public daily. Nearby, a venue called "The Woods" hosts musical acts that require a separate ticket. • This home and surrounding structure's were very interesting..... The best part of the tour was a young man, our tour guide Seth Carlson 👍thank you Seth for the beautiful song you played and sang !!!! AMAZING
  • I went here for Easter brunch that was served buffet style. The food was good, but the areas were on different levels. It was very awkward to carry plates down narrow stairs. I was also seated over the covered pool. It was very humid and uncomfortable. I would recommend sitting on the lower level.
  • Love to go there and zip line there's a hiking trail there's also Barbara Mandrell's mansion oh and I feel to mention there's also a prichard's Distillery on the premises with free tasting and the bourbon cream is off the chain love this place just to go and hang out
  • Very interesting more modern history. Tour guide Steve was great with many insights and stories of mansion.
  • Great experience..Our guide Bradley was both funny and informative. His musical ukulele rendition sounded as if an English minstrel and Tiny Tim had a child and raised him in Cuba. Simply outstanding! Kudos to all!

Where to stay in Nashville

Stay in downtown, midtown, the west end, or near Vanderbilt to be at the center of it all in Nashville. You'll find plenty of boutique hotels and major chains in all of these areas, which give you great access to the downtown music scene and beyond. While you can find a bit of everything in downtown Nashville, from larger hotels to apartment rentals, keep in mind that more affordable, and often quainter, options are located further from Broadway. Travelers looking to spend most of their time at the Grand Ole Opry should consider accommodations in the Opryland or Music Valley area near the airport.
