The botanical gardens span over 22 hectares (55 acres) and showcase a diverse selection of styles and periods of garden design. The site also features a Georgian-style mansion built in 1929 that now houses a museum of art. The museum includes a large collection of American and contemporary paintings, sculpture, and decorative arts.   • I love gardens so I figured I couldn't go wrong here and I was right. Although the gardens were in transition due to the season changes, and not much was in bloom, the area is beautiful. The perennial...  more »
  • This was highly recommended by a friend. Perhaps it is better at other seasons, but we were not impressed. The grounds were nice but not spectacular and the mansion is mainly empty of furnishings.
