(4.5/5 based on 1,100+ reviews on the web)
Today a large, popular park, the original purpose of Centennial Park was to host Tennessee's centennial exposition in 1897. The main attraction of the park, and one of the most famous exhibits of the exposition, is the Parthenon replica. Explore inside this full-scale reproduction, then visit the art center for some more modern creative works. You can walk or jog the short trail or play volleyball in another area. You'll find plenty of spots for relaxing, such as the sunken garden. If you need to catch up with friends or family, the park features free Wi-Fi access. Our Nashville trip builder makes visiting Centennial Park and other Nashville attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

  • Winterfest was free and safe...we enjoyed walking in the park...such a lovely place to go, we even managed to get good parking with the event going on.
  • Park has older dilapidated play equipment. Great for walking and admiring the Parthenon. We drove through the park in less than 10 minutes.
  • Beautiful park full of people enjoying an Indian Summer. Sights and sounds to just walk around and enjoy at no cost, great way spend an afternoon relaxing!

  • You just have to go. If you've never been, I'd recommend trying to catch a good sunset here. There are tons of different areas to explore so plan for plenty of time if you're making this an outing. There are bikes you can rent to explore the park and surrounding neighborhood. There are lots of good restaurants nearby that are easily in walking distance.
  • This is a fun place to come visit especially if you have kids or want to feel like doing something different. Plenty of things to check out from the Parthenon (they also give tours of the inside for $). Plenty of grass to play in and benches to overlook the water. I also play volleyball there during the week on their sand courts.
  • Fantastic park! Several areas to walk/jog, play guitar, etc. There are multiple covered areas on the warmer days, and it is a safe environment for small children. They love to feed the ducks in the pond! There is a huge open space in front of the Parthenon museum, about 150-200 yards long, which is great for workouts/yoga, reading under a tree, playing catch or frisbee, or just playing with your furry friend. Always kept clean with lawns/greenery well maintained.
  • Very relaxing. Can hang out above or come with family. Really nice place for an easy going day.
  • One of the very best places to find Pokestops and Pokemon Go Gyms, as well as Ingress portals. The scale Parthenon replica is pretty damned impressive, too. Plus the huge steam engine. It was also the site of some late 19th century World's Fair, which is when its artificial lakes were constructed.
