  • Love this place! Yellowwood is all over brown county. There is a large patch of it practically in my back yard. Even though they logged it a couple years ago it's still a great place to find mushrooms. This area has no marked trails but there are other parts that do.
  • Cranes, fish, frogs, rare wildflowers and hiking abound here! Been visiting this place since I stumbled upon in back in the 1980s. There is primitive camping and so much wildlife it will amaze you. First thing we saw when parking down at the Dam/spillway was a HUGE crane. The roads were recently upgraded which makes this place a little more accessible. This is a gem in the raw.
  • Camped for many years this is by far the most relaxing and peaceful sites I've ever had the pleasure of staying at.
  • Beautiful forrest, calming gravel road, dam on lake is great for sledding.
  • Great trails for traipsing through the woods. Well marked despite how rugged some sections are. Looking forward to returning
