  • A very nice beach, clean, not too seaweedy (but some). If you go where the main beach area is in front of the parking lot, there are clean bathrooms and food concessions, that I'm told are quite decent. We walked from our rented cottage, and went to the left of that area (facing the water, left). It was much less crowded, and there was plenty of room to settle in with all the blanket space and big umbrellas, that we needed. After 5 pm, it's free to park. We took walks to the beach after dinner and it was really nice. You could bring some wine and relax or walk up the beach for a long way, maybe a mile. Good family beach!
  • Amazing beach, my 5 year old loves to be here every summer. What they need to improve is that the beach closes at 4:00, and they lock their restrooms too!!! Wish they atleast keep them open until 6:00 to help the visitors who stay a lil longer.
  • Great big parking lot. Very wide sandy beach. Playground for the kids. Great for families. Facilities were as good as you can expect at a beach, showers (bring a dollar in quarters) , changing rooms, restrooms. I think they have concessions but didn't get that far. You can see the BI ferry go by, as well as other recreational boats, jet ski's. They have a breakwater farther out that helps with waves and undertow. The one thing I did not like about this beach, hence the 3stars, are the rocks in the water. Great big rocks that hurt our feet and made it very difficult to walk farther out. That was truly disappointing. Not sure if this was throughout the whole beach or just where we were, far left of the facilities. Bring water shoes!
  • Got there Friday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised at how clean and spacious the beach is! Nice snack shop and the water was beautiful! Worth the trip!
  • Love this beach! I've been bringing my granddaughters here.. Just perfect for them.. They are both under 4 yrs ... And they love it too!!
