  • We drove up the coast visiting a lot of New England beaches, parks, and lighthouses. This was a decent beach, but not one of our favorites in Rhode Island.  more »

  • Great beach. Clean facilities. No rocks, soft, deep sand. Great little playground for kids. Typically overpriced snackbar, but nice having it there. Outdoor cold shower or hot indoor shower for $1. Various parking rates, with the highest being $14 per day for out of state on weekends. We went on a Friday and it was pretty busy with kids activities going on etc, I imagine an nice Saturday and Sunday would be packed. No balls allowed on the beach, so forget soccer or beach volleyball (too many crowds). No trash barrels, they offer trash bags at the parking gates. Their policy is carry out all the trash you bring in (this includes by the snack bar). No alcohol was announced over the loud speaker a few times, but the various life guards didn't seem to be watching for that. (But just as a precaution) Lots lifeguards in stands and patrolling, which was nice because there are tons of kids and families.
  • Loved it here when my kids were little. Now it's just a beach with lot's of annoying little kids. Way too loud, no waves and nothing to do for teens.
  • Great! Clean beach with ample parking that is nicely maintained. A bit steep of an entrance fee, but if you can pack a few people into your car- the $12 doesn't seem too bad. Will definitely be going back
  • My kids love it here. I feel safe because the waves here are never that big. When I was younger, that would deter me, but now with the little kiddos, it's a plus! There's rest rooms, showers, and a snack bar. Bring a bag for your garbage because you won't find any trash cans at Rhode Island public beaches.
  • Nice clean beach. Very peaceful this time of year..
