  • We've been camping at Fishermen's State Park for years and Galilee is a regular place for us to visit! Plenty of parking for the Block Island Ferry but if you are just looking to hit Salty Brine beach...  more »
  • A quaint fishing village with quite a few places to dine both sitting down and being served and walking up and ordering. Scenic views and some beautiful homes. You can get the Block Island Ferry here.  more »

  • We often spend the weekend in Galilee and George's is almost always on our list of stops. There's a few different atmospheres so it is a pretty unique place. You can people watch from the patio (with or without umbrellas) facing the street. You can grab food to-go from the outside windows. You can dine inside. You can dine outside upstairs and people watch the beach and enjoy a more lively atmosphere with music. At night it becomes more of a party atmosphere with loud music and fun karaoke. So there's something for everyone. Food is fresh and tasty and service is great.
  • Clam cakes were good. Unfortunately the chowder was something to be desired. The white chowder was very thin with cubed potatoes the size of your little pinkies nail. It lacked the clams and the small cubed potatoes. Young lady serving was very polite.A great asset. Wouldn't eat there again. Throwing away your money to do so.
  • One of the best seaside restaurants in the area. It combines great service, superb drinks, the _freshest_ seafood and a lovely atmosphere making for fabulous dinner. Also has decent gluten free options available including real Rhode Island clear chowder.
  • Service was friendly and attentive. Sitting on the patio watching boats go by as we ate our dinner. Grilled prime rib, cooked to perfection as was the mash potatoes and asparagus. My Salmon was perfect, served with rice and broccoli that was steamed so tender as if it melted in you mouth.
  • While George's is a good spot for lunch during spring or summer, it can become very crowded during the summer months and don't be too surprised if you have to wait some time for a table to become available. If there are tables available, however, you can sit upstairs or downstairs, which are filled with sea-related decor and there is often live music being performed in the upstairs sector. George's is also stone's throw from the public beach, so you can have a meal and then sunbathe afterwards. I only order fries when I come here, and those are great, so I can't offer my opinion of the other foods on the menu. But if you're in town and looking for a place to fill your stomach, I would at least recommend stopping by.
