  • This is the perfect spot to just watch the boats of all kinds, including the Block Island ferry pass within feet ,A few really good seafood restaurants and bars. Typical little seaport area.  more »
  • Galilee is indeed a fishing village and insofar as that goes, it's quite interesting. It has a few seafood restaurants, as is to be expected, and four shops (two really just holes in the wall attached...  more »
  • If you want to sit and watch the fishing boats this is the place. Have fried clams or ice cream and be happy. Parking at certain times of the year is stressful.  more »

  • HANDS DOWN MY FAVORITE SEAFOOD RESTAURANT!! THE FISH (& SOMETIMES THE CHIPS) IS PHENOMENAL!! I've been coming here for over 10 years & the fish & chips are all I ever get. The fish is always amazing & the chips are hit & miss, but the fish never disappoints - if it ain't broke, don't fix it! The haddock is nice & flakey, the batter is thin & crispy rather than thick & overpowering. Shawn by far my favorite waiter - looks, charm, & does his job very well! Need to ask for him & tell him I told you I recommended him. :-) Joe B. used to be a manager here, very missed! Met his successor James C. tonight, so far very personable & accommodating. :-)
  • This spot is a breath of fresh air. I’ve been here more times than I can count. The atmosphere is incredibly authentic, the waitstaff is friendly and always welcoming. I had the most incredible applewood smoked bacon mussels the other day at lunch. Doesn’t look like a place that would have amazing food, but it exceeds my expectations every time. When I come home to visit, I always bring friends and family here. The toy chest is a major selling point, and makes my family feel like even the littlest patrons are wanted. It can get slow and busy upstairs in the summer but the off season more than makes up for it. I always leave here smiling.
  • I was very impressed with our visit this time. Lobster steamed perfectly and delicious seafood stew. We live right down the street from George's, but don't go there often. We tend to stay with comfort and reliablity. That said, following this exceptional visit we will probably try them again soon.
  • The simple clam chowder tasted like a bowl of clam cooking water. Simple and pure. I loved it. My wife didn't. So there's that. The house made pickle was awesome. The clam cakes were big puffy fried dough. I was thinking they would be like crab cakes. If I had been expecting them to be puffy fried dough with a bit of clams, I think I would have thought they were excellent.
  • Open during the off-season. I went in November and it was really low-key but heard it can get crazy during the summer. The seafood was excellent, the sides were okay. Good service and located right on the water.
