  • Even if you don't need to buy Kosher wine - visit Hagafen. The wine experience is terrific, the orchards beautiful, and the sommelier is very knowledgeable and will keep pouring till you find your spe...  more »
  • We went there during our road trip. Staff was friendly. This isn't the most beautiful vineyards in the region, but we were happy to be able to taste and buy good kosher bottles. They actually have good bottles with prices ranging from €25 to €200. A little attention (organic Apple juice) pr children, appreciable. If you take several bottles you get less 10-15% but be careful to not you take if you plan to bring them back from abroad, not more than 6 bottles are allowed in the suitcase.

  • Hagafen was one of our faves! We enjoyed a bottle of wine while we played corn hole in their garden. Very welcoming and unpretentious staff! One of the few places they give you the option to buy and d...  more »

  • What a fantastic winery with very friendly staff. I especially enjoyed the Prix line of wines. There is a small tour of the winery every morning, but you need to call in advance to make a reservation. Our guide was very knowledgable and and informative. If your making the trip out, I would include the tour. There is a fee to taste, but it was waived since we bought a few bottles to take home.
  • Friendly staff. $20 tasting fee but it is waived if you buy wine. Wine is delicious and reasonably priced. Nice outdoor area with corn hole. Beautiful landscape. Wonderful experience.
  • Very friendly place with delicious wines! We loved the Sauvignon Blanc, plus tasting fees are waved here if you buy wine!
  • Cozy and friendly staff. Tasting is $25 for 5 pours. It's a nice quick stop to relax outdoors
  • Had an amazing wine tasting experience at Hagafen. I'm certainly not a wine expert, but was given a remarkable tour through their productions - and learned so much about their wine-making process. Highly recommend stopping by here!

Where to stay in Napa

To explore North America's largest wine-growing region and remain close to fine dining and shopping, consider staying at a bed and breakfast located in downtown Napa. Many centrally located inns offer spacious rooms with fireplaces, free Wi-Fi, and on-site swimming pools. If you don't mind splurging, consider staying at one of the wine valley's lavishly furnished villas, many of which feature private lakes and access to a network of scenic hiking trails. You can also go all out at a luxury resort located in a picturesque vineyard setting.
