  • My visit to Fontanella was a very pleasant surprise. Our tour guide: Jack Swanson suggested Fontanella. He was spot on. The wines are great. As nice as the wines are, the hostess was even nicer. Jennifer did a great job. She was extremely warm and welcoming. We spent 4 days touring wineries and Jennifer stands out as our favorite host/hostess! Overall a great experience. I highly recommend Fontanella.
  • Wines were great. Among my favorites all time. Jennifer was super nice, welcoming, and genuine. Great experience. Highly recommended to anyone.
  • Great family winery where Zins are their speciality
  • The Fontanellas just planted their vineyard at this location, so there are rows of tiny vines with the white plastic still on. I told this to some clients I brought last weekend but the first comment was "Oh. I am a bit dissappointed, I wanted to see vineyards and flowers..." I convinced her that their wine and the tasting experience was going to change her mind and it did! Outstanding 90+ rated wines, awesome tour/tasting and, at only $25 (includes 3 barrel tastings, super interesting experience), that is more than reasonable for Napa. My only thing is PUT SOME FLOWERS ON THE PATIO PLEASE!!! - it could use a little color, otherwise beautiful and peaceful. Stacy is great and so fun and Karen Fontanella is awesome. So is Jeff F. but he is always out exacting his science.... HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
  • This is a fantastic winery. The owners are extremely welcoming and t wine is fantastic.

Where to stay in Napa

To explore North America's largest wine-growing region and remain close to fine dining and shopping, consider staying at a bed and breakfast located in downtown Napa. Many centrally located inns offer spacious rooms with fireplaces, free Wi-Fi, and on-site swimming pools. If you don't mind splurging, consider staying at one of the wine valley's lavishly furnished villas, many of which feature private lakes and access to a network of scenic hiking trails. You can also go all out at a luxury resort located in a picturesque vineyard setting.
