Domaine Carneros, Napa

4.1
#1 of 63 in Wineries in Napa
Taste the sparkling Pinot Noir at Domaine Carneros, or enjoy a cheese plate and a tour around the château. Both the château and the production area are constructed in the French style, making this a more Old World experience than you'll find at other California wineries. For some extra decadence, limousines are available for hire. Almost all of the fruit processed here comes from estate vineyards, and it’s all certified organic. Using our world travel planner, Napa attractions like Domaine Carneros can form part of a personalized travel itinerary.

Arrive here is an experience in itself. The stairs go up is certainly impressive. We had booked in advance (very easy) and could sit down at a table on the terrace: very pleasant.

Arranged to arrive early and do Champagne tasting with salmon and caviar. View was fabulous, setting was perfect and food and wine were awesome. Great way to start my birthday!  more »

Domaine Carneros is a vinicola restaurant in Napa, where you can sit on the terrace and enjoy ' sparkling wine ', the champagne produced in partnership with the French Taittinger House. The view from the terrace, the delicate decoration that refers to France promises very pleasant moments and alto astral!

We love this place! Their sparkling wines are delicious. The view from the terrace is beautiful. This is one of my favorite places in the area. The only negative (of our most recent visit) was that our server was chewing on nuts when he approached the table, which was unpleasant.

Great experience. Location and landscape of the winery is fantastic. We went when they were renovating their restrooms but their temporary restrooms were still pretty nice. Would definitely visit again.

Beautiful landscape, worth a quick stop to relax for a bit. This place gets packed on the weekends so make sure to make reservations. Don't expect to find anything to amaze you but this winery is just like many other Napa wineries, very commercial and touristy. But who cares? $30 for a tasting of 4 wines and you can share with someone. The sparkling wines are OK but I can find better ones that cost much less.

Worth the visit! Great views, exceptional sparkling wines and great tours of the facility make it a must stop heading into Napa. Recommend getting a bottle of their ultra brut while there!

Beautiful setting. Be sure to have a glass of sparking wine an fog on the patio. You can view the vineyards in spectacular setting. Only con. It can be a busy place filled with tour buses.

Where to stay in Napa

To explore North America's largest wine-growing region and remain close to fine dining and shopping, consider staying at a bed and breakfast located in downtown Napa. Many centrally located inns offer spacious rooms with fireplaces, free Wi-Fi, and on-site swimming pools. If you don't mind splurging, consider staying at one of the wine valley's lavishly furnished villas, many of which feature private lakes and access to a network of scenic hiking trails. You can also go all out at a luxury resort located in a picturesque vineyard setting.
