Baldacci Family Vineyards, Napa

#40 of 62 in Wineries in Napa
Winery / Vineyard Food & Drink
Baldacci Family Vineyards blends a deep passion for winemaking with the timeless tradition of family. Combining these two vital facets of life into one ensures that every drop in every bottle produced is a true labor of love. Thomas and Brenda Baldacci purchased their 17-acre parcel of vineyard land in the Stags Leap District of the Napa Valley in 1997. They believed then, as they do now, that the enjoyment of great winemaking and the opportunity to build a lasting legacy for their family was a dream worth pursuing. This all-inclusive approach to winemaking has helped the Baldacci’s to establish a reputation as part of the Napa Valley winery community.

Today, Baldacci Family Vineyards includes 17 acres of Estate Cabernet Sauvignon grapevines, an onsite winemaking facility and a unique system of wine caves beneath a volcanic knoll. The expert vineyard management team carefully nurtures the vine growth, ensuring that the grapes reach their maximum potential to create concentrated flavors and excellent tannic structure.

All of the grapes are minimally handled, allowing their unique attributes to come through in the finished wine, making the special qualities of every glass a part of the land, a part of the tradition and a part of the family.

Where to stay in Napa

To explore North America's largest wine-growing region and remain close to fine dining and shopping, consider staying at a bed and breakfast located in downtown Napa. Many centrally located inns offer spacious rooms with fireplaces, free Wi-Fi, and on-site swimming pools. If you don't mind splurging, consider staying at one of the wine valley's lavishly furnished villas, many of which feature private lakes and access to a network of scenic hiking trails. You can also go all out at a luxury resort located in a picturesque vineyard setting.

  • It's a must stop for me even though I can buy their cabs at home. Out of the bottle now or lay them down for 5-10 years you can't go wrong. One of my top 5 wineries!!! Cheers  more »
  • The pinots were all drinkable. I am a huge pinot drinker and unfortunately the wines were not good enough for me to buy however i did enjoy my time at the winery. The staff were fun and informative.  more »
  • I have loved this wine for a while. Small, family owned vineyard right on Silverado Trail. I stumbled into a tasting there (literally and figuratively) and loved the wine. After joining the wine club,...  more »

  • Loved our tasting and tour experience! Very cozy tasting room. The table was set beautifully! The tasting was very informative (our server was so charming) and the wines were delicious!
  • Came here with my friend desperately searching for a winery near this area that didn't feel like an overflowing frat-house; Baldacci fit the bill perfectly. The tasting room servers were super friendly and graciously allowed us to sit on their patio and enjoy a bottle of the Four Sons Fraternity (ironic name given my previous comment). You wouldn't believe how many other places refused us the same treatment because we weren't among the wine club elite. The 2009 Four Sons was also an amazing wine. It's a blend of mostly Cab and Syrah bursting with fruit and jam with a smooth finish. It pairs perfectly with red meat or is great by itself. We enjoyed a bottle while overlooking the grapes in-front of Baldacci, complete with red barn and sunset. Baldacci was relaxing, friendly and picturesque, while serving up some delicious wines. It's my kind of place.
  • Very nice small winery. Friendly staff and very good cabs
