4.3/5 based on 1,000+ reviews on the web
At Jennette's Pier, stroll along the boardwalk and cast your line into the Atlantic Ocean. Originally built in 1939, this pier offers a chance to catch king mackerel, cobia, flounder, and many more species. You can book a stand-up paddle-board tour or private fishing lesson. The new pier and pier house were constructed in 2011 after the original pier's destruction during Hurricane Isabel in 2003. Visit the pier house to see the aquarium and educational exhibits focused on ethical fishing, marine science, and conservation. The area also offers surfing, kite-boarding, outdoor music festivals, and food festivals. • Great day of fishing on the Pier. Didn't catch nothing but a sun burn. LOL Enjoyed watching the ocean and everyone else fishing.
  • We really enjoyed walking out on the pier. It was fun to watch those who were fishing and seeing what they caught (one man caught a stingray!). There were several surfers in the ocean the day we were ...  read more »
  • Jennette's pier is picturesque. We enjoyed observing the surfers and the cranes and other birds. The pier was obviously very popular. Lots of people were fishing.
  • A locals favorite, it doesn't get much better! There's always something to do, see and enjoy at Jennette's Pier. Be it the East Coast surfing tournaments, beach volleyball tournaments, fishing for beginners and newbie's, or just relaxing in the sun or shade of the pier. One of my favorite events, the annual Surfing for Autism, brings our community together with purpose. With life guards on patrol there is a sense of safety for young families too. Lastly, having your wedding or event at Jennette's Pier, a one-of-a-kind OBX location, is another reason to put them on your must-see list. Michele Bunce, Beth Pallett, Rachael Moser, Daryl Law are just a few of the friendly and helpful staffers at the pier who will guide you in the right direction. Jennette's Pier is all that😀
  • Nice place + Great location! I went in the off season so the crowd was minimal, but sunrise from the pier is something not to pass up. You won't regret it.
  • I'm a very very disappointed local.. As a local I feel like We pay way too much tax money for the bathrooms to look like they do. I can't speak for the men's restroom but the women's was ridiculously disgusting... Not to mention we didn't even have paper towels to dry our hands with. Please work on bathroom cleaning as well as all the liter under the pier. We love our beaches, place keep them clean.
  • Very nice pier. Couple bucks a person to go on the pier it's self. Has an aquarium and a gift shop. Looks like you can rent fishing gear. It's also a green pier with wind turbines.
  • Great family atmosphere. Employees are helpful and service is good. Facilities are set up well and definitely there for fisherman and just visiting guests.
