Where to stay in Mystic

Large resorts fill the scenic land near the water. The local casino manages one luxury resort with over 1,000 rooms. The others are owned by large chains known for providing luxury accommodations. Inland are historical mansions and houses that have been converted to bed and breakfasts and inns. These lodgings have fewer rooms, so book early to ensure your space.

  • I love art museums that feature local artists and this one doesn't disappoint. A rainy day, free admission and parking, talented artists - excellent way to spend time. Beautiful views of the waterfron...  more »
  • A small local museum featuring art from mostly local artists. Clean, quiet, and FREE! The art was interesting but not what I would call thought-provoking or unique.  more »
  • I love quality crafts, or artisan sales, and this one was no exception. We enjoyed browsing the artwork in the gallery, and then walking through the other spaces where local artisans had set up tables...  more »

  • Went to a wonderful Art Show opening "Is this Art?" Handy staff offering food and wine. Highly patronized. Good for vacationers, too. Highly recommend! Casual dress or come as you are.
  • Love the food. pizzas are great. Apps are awesome.
  • Great location. Parking lot can be difficult to manage.
  • A lovely afternoon diversion...a true LOCAL VENUE.
  • Mystic Arts Center, a part of the Connecticut art scene for almost 100 years, is a place where culture, tradition, and the charm of small town New England converge. The museum houses four art galleries, state of the art studio space, classrooms, and an art reference library. As a RealtorĀ® with RE/MAX Coast and Country I know how important it is to have quality companies working in the area and the Mystic Arts Center not only showcases fine art but is an excellent facility for your wedding or corporate event.
