  • There is not much left of what you see in this picture. The Springmaid Resort was bought out by The DoubleTree Resort last Fall (2016).  more »
  • Unfortunately, this pier was completely destroyed by last year's Hurricane and there is nothing left of it. No word yet on if it will be rebuilt.  more »

  • Before Hurricane Matthew this place was a great place to go. They are rebuilding it, so be patient, I am sure it will be just as great!!!
  • Many fond memories there with my family growing up. So sad it's gone :(
  • Great pier. Larger than I was expecting. Great place to fish or just to enjoy the view. It extends really far out into the Atlantic.

  • The Weather Channel just said that Matthew has claimed 2/3 of the Pier..... so sad
