  • Went to Myrtle Beach for Thanksgiving weekend, the Springmaid Pier is close to where we stayed. It was nearly 100% demolished by last months storm. I'm sure for tourism, it will be rebuilt soon.
  • Don't visit at this time. Hurricane Matthew unfortunately took out about half of it.Hope fully it will be rebuilt befrore the summer of 2017..

  • Before Hurricane Matthew this place was a great place to go. They are rebuilding it, so be patient, I am sure it will be just as great!!!
  • Many fond memories there with my family growing up. So sad it's gone :(
  • Great pier. Larger than I was expecting. Great place to fish or just to enjoy the view. It extends really far out into the Atlantic.
  • Damn shame it's destroyed, Thanks HURRICANE MATTHEW.
  • The Weather Channel just said that Matthew has claimed 2/3 of the Pier..... so sad
