#1 of 8 in Parks in Myrtle Beach
Home to more than 10,000 creatures, Ripley's Aquarium offers interactive activities designed to teach the public about 350 different marine species. You can observe the underwater kingdom of sharks, or touch cownose and spotted eagle rays. The aquarium houses a discovery center, providing hands-on multimedia marine education classes for visitors of all ages. Don't miss a stop at the "living gallery," a presentation of undersea life that includes sea anemones, corals, jellies, octopuses, and sea dragons. • Very cool aquarium and fun to visit, but a little overpriced. When you're done viewing everything, you kinda feel like there should be more for the price. But you also have to consider how much it costs to build and maintain a place like that. They offer deals with the other Ripley's attractions on the boardwalk. If you visit Myrtle Beach often, they have a year season pass which offers the best deal. Much nicer to be able to visit as often as you want without the steep price.
  • My husband and I recently moved from Texas to NC.. While we were planning our trip to close on the house we had a couple days to relax in MB!! I jumped online to order tickets and was thrilled to see that they were 1/2 off for season passes!! We make it to the beach every month or two and always stop into the aquarium!! We have had some great experiences with the staff and love the dive shows! The new Pearl Harbor exhibit is phenomenal! I'm a WWII history buff so that was a fun addition to our last trip!! The Christmas tree display was amazing and I had a blast checking out all the states we've lived in! Can't wait to go back again this year!
  • What an amazing experience! The aquarium is beautiful and well kept. There is such a variety of things to see and do with so many more interactive opportunities than other aquariums. My children took part in swimming with the rays and the entire family went on the behind the scenes tour. Ben, our tour guide, was an amazing host that was very friendly, efficient, knowledgeable, and you can tell he has a passion for what he does at the aquarium. The snorkeling instructor was also very friendly and patient with the kids. Also, this is a great value for the experience and everything that they send home with you as well. It was definitely one of the highlights of our vacation and we will be visiting again when we return to Myrtle Beach.
  • The aquarium though small had a lot of cool stuff and features. Do NOT waste money on the boat ride! It is not worth it one bit. You can dive with the sting rays though and that's pretty cool. Id pay a little extra for that. The boat ride is indoors on top of a small area of water which you can see the sea creatures better from the shark tunnels. The pearl harbor exhibit was nice if you're a history buff but my little just ran through it uninterested. All in all I would pay for the price they ask. It was worth it and the live feedings and mermaid shows were cool as well. If you have kids and visit myrtle beach I recommend visiting!
  • This place is awesome. Staff was pretty cool and helpful. I took the glass floor boat ride and was nice to see the sharks up so close. My favorite was the tunnel where you stand on a conveyor belt and it takes you underneath the aquarium where you just ride and can see sharks, a giant tortoise and so many other fish in there. You come face to face with sharks and that was so awesome. This is a great place to go with kids friends and family.
