  • It is a Moonshine distillery. They also distill a whiskey. The tastings were good. I'm not a Moonshine person and still enjoyed the experience.
  • We had the best time sampling some products (chicken marinaded in the Bloody Mary mix) and meatballs simmering in the BBQ sauce. Yummy! I couldn't believe the tasting: the whiskey burned real good and...  more »
  • This location is basically a store and they periodically do taste testing. The staff is extremely friendly. The prices are reasonable, but was disappointed to find this wasn't the tour location.

  • Awesome! Great products, comparable prices for a micro-distillery, and welcoming and friendly staff. Definitely worth the visit...stay for a tasting. Just wish they had the t-shirt I wanted in my size.
  • The name has now changed to "Palmetto Distillery", and they have whiskey as well as moonshine. I'm honestly not much for moonshine, but they do this interesting combo of fruit cider and moonshine that is pretty tasty. Their whiskey is a pretty sugary-sweet thing, tastes like someone used the concept of sweet-tea to make whiskey (in a good way). Interestingly, even though they're selling legal moonshine, they're still winking at the law through a loophole with the store being divided in half so they can sell merch on one side and liquor on the other. Worth a stop in and doing a tasting (not only of the alcohol products, but the food products are pretty legit as well).

  • This is an absolute MUST visit place. Staff was fantastic. Customer service is great... the Moon Shine taste testing was great... The whiskey and moon shines were great.
  • Enthusiastic folk, plenty of touristy swag. There's better (legal) corn liquor made in SC though. Palmetto needs to work on their heads cuts (and price). They're also a little dodgy on the source of their malt whiskey. Bottle missing "distilled by" so it's probably sourced.
