  • This is my husbands favorite place to fish at. He oftentimes spends an entire day out there fishing.
  • Charge was $1 a person for access. Free parking. We took the opportunity to walk off our dinner from Croaker's at the end of the pier. We strolled down to the end watching the fishermen. Apparently in...  read more »
  • It was a beautiful day and hubby and I wanted to do something new. We decided to go to the pier to watch people fishing (something I love to do). The pier was very nice and LONG. Unfortunately we miss...  read more »
  • We went in to get some hand dipped ice cream yesterday (8/23) and we were told summer is over, we no longer have hand dipped ice cream. Since when was the month of August not considered summer? Especially when the beach is still packed. Then, as our children picked a frozen treat out of the poorly stocked freezer, the person who checked us out was not very friendly. So much for customer service! The bar was also closed at 3pm for cleaning. 3pm? Prime time for customers to come in off the beach and get a cocktail. When another patron came in to ask where she could get a beer, the same person who checked us out told her to go to the closed bar. You would think when working in the same establishment, one would know when another section in the building is closed. We let them know we were not impressed and would not be coming back or recommending them to anyone else. As we passed other patrons on their way in, we told them not to expect any hand dipped ice cream or decent service.
  • The pier itself is very nice , however the staff including the new pier manager Bill is extremely rude . Clearly he cares nothing about tourists , his attitude was beyond acceptable. My wife and I stopped in for some fishing while we were in myrtle beach and when we went to pay for our tickets I asked what type of bait they carry , Bill responds with " same bait you would get anywhere else , what you don't know " NO I DONT I'm not from the area how am I supposed to know what your run down little tackle shop stocks . He needs to be cleaning aquariums rather than working with customers . He needs a new job , that one is not for him . Will never return . And will never recommend it to anyone else , take the 10 min trip and go to springmaid . Much better fishing and service there or state park pier !
  • Went to north Mrytle beach was removed by staff member, that stated Apache Pier own the beach, and since we blocked someone's lot we had to move. We insisted on moving vehicle and the rest of family staying on beach, but staff member stated "we own the beach and to move". Witnesses came forwarded and confronted the staff member stating the beach is owned by the state not by Apache Pier. We were escorted off the beach were we met the attending supervisor, who told us we should've asked at the front window where additional parking was, just in case the parking lot was full. I stated there should be a notice informing clients where additional parking would be in case of parking lot being full. I told both supervisors who insisted the whole problem was illegal parking, by blocking lot and not using pier, i told them i would personally apologize to the renter we blocked in. I asked again do u guys own the beach we are getting thrown from and the supervisor answer was "no the state owns it,and we should not have been told to leave the beach". After i stated I was going to the public media with how we were being treated. The staff member apologized for telling us to leave the beach and he wasn't sure of the rules. The four children ages 10 to 13 witnessed the whole ordeal and questioned why we were treated in such a way, "was it because of our race?" This was the first time in my 38 years living I experienced such discrimination. I want to bring this to the public's attention and warn others of how Apache Pier judges and treats individuals of other races! That apology was insincere and was not accepted. Apache Pier S.C. needs to take more time and investment in training their employees and staff members. This would've been the fifth visit there, we normally fish from the pier as the kids swim at the beach, which also was stated was not unallowed & for residents renting or residing in Apache Pier. Will never visit this place again!
  • Great place, have things for children to do all day or you can hang out on the beach, or the best peir. Just a great family Campground
  • Location is awesome. Best Italian ices. Fun for whole family. Great game room. Good little bar and restaurant. The view is spectacular. They especially cater to handicapped by providing access and golf carts style shuttle service up and down the pier.
