  • Well worth the trip... no matter how far you travelled. It was great hearing the background stories to many legendary songs. It was spine chilling to listen to some of the greatest songs ever...

  • The history behind this studio in a small town in Alabama. The artist that came for the unique sound. The guide was very knowable about the history. Well preserved artifacts of the time period.

  • Really enjoyed the tour through this iconic recording studio that’s still in use. Tour guides are personable and knowledgeable. I’m not sure the backstage tour was worth an additional $15, but I...

  • For anyone who has a love and appreciation of music, especially from the 1960s and and 1970s, FAME Studios is a must see even if it means traveling extraordinary miles to get there. This is the place where the sound of soul, funk, and southern rock was born. And just as amazing are the people who safeguard, preserve, and share this treasure. It’s highly recommended to spend a little more for the backstage experience. Many thanks to the wonderful staff including Rick Hall’s grandson who shared many wonderful personal memories during our tour.
  • We had wanted to visit here since watching the documentary about Muscle Shoals on Netflix. We travelled to Muscle Shoals from South Carolina in our RV. The tour didn't disappoint! It was exciting to be standing in the same place where so much amazing music had been recorded. Highly recommend a visit here.
  • A group of 6 of us made the trek to Alabama last week for a much anticipated visit to FAME studios. I was awestruck speechless, elated and will be forever amazed by the experience of visiting and touring FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals Alabama. I was prepared for a tour of the studio, hearing of its history and viewing memorabilia. However it touched my soul and evoked so much emotion that it brought a few if us to tears. Jackson Hall, Rick Hall’s grandson was the guide for our backstage tour. Jackson has most likely done this tour hundreds of times but you would never know that. He provided information, shared stories about his grandfather, his family and the artist with such enthusiasm that he was able to pull you into the experience that is FAME studios. The entire tour was amazing but the last stop in studio A (which has not changed since they opened in 1960) where we had the privilege of actually listening to recordings made in the studio was like nothing I have ever heard or experienced. If you are thinking about going do it no mater how far you have to travel it will be well worth it. #famestudioswhereitallbegan
  • Fame studios in Muscle Shoals Alabama is a music icon location. The most famous of the old timey studios it was the number one place for number one hits. The studio tour was awesome ,my daughter and son-in-law and myself had a ball as we had all seen the documentary on Fame studio and its owner Rick Hall .So being able to take the trip to muscle shoals was a bucket list item to check off. Everything was historical and knowing full well that all of the American early Stars recorded number one hits there just makes the trip magical. The staff at the studio love relating the music history and regaling us with tails of the stars that recorded there. It's only a couple of 3 hours from Nashville so it's an easy interesting drive to make I highly recommend driving to Muscle shoals and seeing Fame studios.
  • I did the 9:00am “backstage” tour on May 19th, and I loved it! This is a very special place if you love music, and it is still a recording studio (band was coming in). The tour guide was fantastic, and you had enough time to take it all in. Definitely recommend the “backstage” ticket. Watch the Muscle Shoals documentary on YouTube if you can before coming.
