  • Lovely small tasting room and grounds. Little patio area shaded with an arbor. Allows dogs inside tasting room. Excellent wines, especially the Chardonnay and Barbera.
  • Was on our way to Murphy and saw this great little vineyard along the way. The grounds were so pretty and the tasting room look brand new and really cool. The staff was very friendly and quite helpful...  read more »
  • My husband, 22yo daughter and I were driving from Napa to Yosemite and were on the lookout from wineries on the way. I read good reviews about Chatom so we decided to stop. We enjoyed it. It's a small...  read more »
  • Used to be a 5 but like a lot of businesses it was recently sold and the culture has completely changed. Unfortunately it went in the snooty direction and it used to be more about fun. Lost its mojo!
  • Great selection of wines and was a good place to start the President's Day Weekend tasting
  • Worth a visit when in Murphys or driving buy. Nice grounds. Good for picnic. No tasting fees. They have a large selection of wine with many of them open for tasting. So be prepared to spend some time. The staff is very friendly and competent. So you need even more time to engage a bit and ask questions. The wines are decent. Many standards (Merlot, CS, etc.) that are just made the way you would expect them. Which also means you won't remember them. And they are priced that way, so no particular value. There Esmeralda Syrah is quite memorable however, but then at $38 priced accordingly. They also have a few unexpected ones that sound interesting but then disappoint a bit in execution (Sangiovese, Semillon, Touriga). The cuvee (an odd blend of Rhone, Bordeaux, Zin and Touriga) is a positive surprise. Full bodied and well balanced with some interesting notes. At $12 very good value.
  • The upcoming Chatom Vineyards auction is going to be exciting!
