  • Don't miss the oppurtunity to be a child again and enjoy some treats from the past. Bring the kids to make a pretzel. Enjoy some home made chocolate. The staff is the friendliest around. Worth a visit...  more »
  • We are frequent visitors and travel about 80 miles to get there. We do miss Mr. Callie who has passed; he was very informative.  more »
  • My family has been coming here since, well, forever. I remember coming here (and the nearby pretzel factory) as a kid and watching the owner make candy. My wife (who has also been coming here forever)...  more »

  • We went here while visiting Camelback. We wanted to explore so we took the 25 minute drive. As for the place, it looks pretty on the outside. While they have some old machines used to make chocolates there for your view inside, I would agree with another reviewer who said they were simply " artifacts" as there was nobody there who explained how they were used. The staff were cordial but not overly friendly. As for the chocolates, I have some of the best chocolate places by me and they all carry homemade chocolates at far better prices. This is a tourist attraction and their prices reflect this. $9.00 per bag for a few ounces of candy is over the top. As for chocolate, I am more than willing to pay top dollar if it is worth it. However, I found their chocolate truffles to be average, their marshmallow and caramel chocolate to be really good, but their chocolate covered potato chip to be awful. There was too much chocolate covering a very small chip. All in all, NY has some of the best chocolate shops. Their chocolate is good, but not worth the drive or high prices if you have access to great local places at home. However, if I was in the neighborhood I would not hesitate to stop in and get my sugar fix.
  • Favorite place in the whole world. There is nothing like getting to eat a warm candy cane right after it was made. Being able to see them make all their products right in shop so so cool and you know it'll be fresh. Try the stuffed soft pretzels!
  • Boring. You can get the same thing but better almost anywhere on the east coast (i.e. Atlantic city) Surroundings are nice, so why go to a washed out candy store....? Because that's pretty much all this immediate area has to offer. Sorry to say the candy kitchen is a waste of time to drive to and if you're a young couple you'll feel like senior citizens.
  • We are visiting from Florida and made this one of our last stops and the lady who helped us was sooooooo friendly and helpful. We will be back and when we do this will be one of our stopd
  • This place is beyond addicting! People there are always so friendly and always smiling. I go there a couple times a year when I'm in PA... Also go to the pretzel factory. They are a little small and when it's busy, there's no room to walk but it's still amazing!
