  • Lake Fort Smith is 35 minutes from our home. We love to camp here. The campsites are cleaned off after each guest leaves and the entire park is well maintained. If you like hiking or trail running thi...  read more »

  • We left interstate 49 when we saw the sign for the state park. Nice drive to get to the state park. Went straight to the visitor center and was impressed by what they had. Group enjoyed the snakes and...  read more »
  • This is a beautiful lake, and the boat rentals are a good deal. However, you are not permitted to swim in the lake because it's Fort Smith's drinking supply. This is ridiculous - on a hot summer day you are unable to jump in and cool off. For that reason, I would recommend looking elsewhere, however if you just want to fish or boat/kayak this is your place.
  • Awesome awesome state park. Has a little of everything. There pool is awesome!! Mountain bike trail is awesome and top shelf hiking.
  • Waterfall, paddle boats, pontoon boats, beautiful scenery. Picnic area on the lake. I've been to two weddings here. The reception was catered in the lodge and it was beautiful. 1 wedding was lakeside and 1 was held on the lookout. They were both so beautiful. I would say the lookout behind the visitors center was the best. More room to get ready, restrooms close by, See photos. It also has lots of great camping spots. We walked to the waterfall on the trail and then took the paddle boats out for an hour.
  • Family and I just love this place. Clean and great spots. Nice pool and splash pad. I did have my lantern stolen over night so no matter where you go, there will always be losers lurking.
  • 50 amp hook up three drive-through's electric water and waste hook up at campsite great pool downside walking to the lake from campsite no clear pathways and fishing lake side is standing only
