  • My husband retired from Moffett 26 years ago and loved it. He enjoyed seeing all the displays and telling me about the various things he had done. The volunteers were full of information.
  • Very nice place, well worth meeting and take beautiful photos! Recommend riding in cars.

  • A look at Navy airships, army and Navy aircraft from the 1930s to today. The museum has lots and lots of documented history on Moffett field and the docents are extremely knowledgable and anxious to m...  read more »
  • They close at 3 so just be aware of that. Getting onto the base requires the driver to show a driver's license. The museum is OK, it has a lot of uniforms, models, medals, pictures and some plane parts. Outside there are a few planes that are cool to look at. Since we arrived near closing time, we did not get up close to the planes. The giant blimp hangar is next to the museum and it is impressive too. It's a nice museum, but you have to be a hardcore military history buff to enjoy it. Kids won't really get into it, and there aren't any exhibits geared toward them, so they will quickly get bored.
  • So awesome. The staff was there! If you want to know about dirigible history, then these guys are an amazing stop.
  • Transitional displays. When they move to the huge hanger for the blimp Macon, it will improve. Worth a visit!
  • I was curious to see the use of MOFFETT FIELD I had read a article on the preservation of hanger 1or what might be its future, glad to see it remains (skinless ) but there. In 1960 I was stationed in a F8U squadron across the field in the first hanger next to the runway. Lots of land use since I was there.
  • There is something to be said about learning history through personal pictures and items donated from people that lived in the era.
